 Useful Information

Some apple varieties will grow well in one part of the country but not in another.  There is,
in fact a fairly clean division between Northern and Sourthern apples.  Also, there are distinct
differences between dessert (eating) apples and cooking apples, sweet apples and tart apples,
late apples and early apples, etc.  The lists that follow summarize some of these distinctions
and are meant facilitate variety selection, which is the first and perhaps the most important
chore of every budding orchardist.
